Our Staff

Mary Boyles, Director
Mary was appointed to the Executive Director position in September 2015 after serving 27 years in the alarm industry. Out of those 27 years, 17 of those were owning her own security business with offices in Charlotte and Mount Airy. Before becoming the Executive Director of The Shepherds House, Mary served as a board member and then went on to serve on its executive board as secretary. When the position of Executive Director became available, Mary felt her calling to serve the organization she had become to be so passionate about. Mary was born and raised in Surry County. She attended Mount Airy High School and went onto Catawba College where she continued her education and her love for softball. She has served on several boards, one of which was the agency she was adopted from at 7 weeks of age and still the vice president the agencies alumni group. Through her service at Children’s Home Society, she truly became engaged with the children this agency served and still serves today.

Leslie was born and raised in Surry County and attended high school at North Surry High School. She then went on to Surry Community College where she was part of their nursing program.
