Mission: To provide shelter, food, and resources to those in need.
Vision: A community where homelessness and hunger do not exist.
The Shepherd’s House has been serving homeless women and families since 2003. Our leadership team continually monitors trends and data associated with the homeless and vulnerable citizenry in our rural multi-county service area. In response to rising populations of homeless citizens, in 2022, we moved operations from an 18-bed facility to a 64-bed facility.
In 2023, we began a street outreach program, serving unsheltered homeless men and women (such as those residing in the woods, in cars, or dwellings not meant for human habitation) right where they are – with the goal of connecting them to resources directly in the community where they are living. In 2023, we also began offering transitional housing services to graduating clients in need of establishing credit worthiness prior to finding permanent housing.
We remain committed to our mission and vision and are grateful for each and every day that we are allowed the privilege of serving our precious clients. Thank you, Community, for granting us this privilege through your continued and enduring support!
May God bless you and keep you!
